Game of Thrones is one of our favorite shows so it is no surprise that we constantly want to be taking photos just like this. A little bit darker than most of our photos but contrast is good right? Plus the look on this model’s face makes the photo really work. Plus who doesn’t love a super dramatic hooded photo in a snowstorm?
This photo was taken on the water front in Portland in the middle of a snow storm. It was so cold but we made sure that we did a photoshoot because the lighting and atmosphere was just too good to pass up on. The night sky was just so bright because of all the white reflecting off the snow so lighting was no issue even though it was really late. Seriously, snow is some of the best natural light a photographer could ever wish for.
The model in this photo is definitely the reason this photo works. She just knew how to work her coat and she supplied the coat which was definitely a necessity. Her face also just pulled off the entire mood of this shoot. We wanted to make something overly dramatic and she pulled it off perfectly.
